Burning Our Way into Power
Manipura is the power house from which we transform, act and stand as individuals. It invites us to take action, to be active participants in our own story. It begs the question, are you living in sincerity?
“The privilege of a lifetime is being who you are.” – Joseph Campbell
It is my hope, as the month concludes, you have allowed some time to bring attention to the aspects of yourself that question your relationship to authority, the role you play in your life, and your ability to let go of perfectionism.
I leave you with yet another tool that may bring Manipura Chakra into balance. At the beginning of this chakra yoga flow I introduce and demonstrate kapalabhati, the breath of fire. This breath engages your abdomen, the area surrounding Manipura Chakra, and can have a balancing effect all on its own. Please bear with me as I demonstrate, Chakra Yoga was the first ever, video series I filmed 🙂
Over to you ~ what is your experience with yoga breath work, also known as pranayama? Kapalabhati is just one of the many different breath techniques that yoga offers, what did you feel after your practice with it? Did you enjoy it or did you hate it? Let us know.
